They are fun to wear, fun to watch, and seem to take on a life of their own. Dancing becomes a whole new experience (almost like effortless hula hooping!), and the POOFskirt's undulations are completely mesmerizing. The hoop is made of a very flexible material that can bend into a figure 8 for packing without kinking and bounces right back into shape - allowing you to maneuver in crowded rooms or small spaces (an important feature for those of us who venture to the Black Rock desert or other festivals).
Each skirt is made by hand, by me, and take 2-3 days to finish. From stripping leather hide to make the belts, to securing each individual poof to the string, I work very hard to make them as perfect as possible. I take great pride in the quality of my work. The belts are made of high quality, soft leather that has a slight stretch and are very comfortable. The best part is the bottom edge which swings and twirls around you and gives an incredible, hypnotic bounce as you walk!
